The Crown is never reset. It continues forever. Each winner is permanently engraved into Crown history — name, year, category, and (where applicable) company or property — on the Crown's tiered base. The Crown grows through time; no winners are ever removed.
Winners are selected by unbiased Beacon evaluation of nominations — not public voting, not popularity, not raw views or followers — and every winner is confirmed by a Master Administrator before publication.
